Q1) The rom generated by your program does not work in the real gameboy, only in an emulator.
A1) It's because the rom lacks all the standard copyright and crc infos of Nintendo, and so it's not recognized by GBA as a valid rom, you should use a loader or the pogoshell.

Q2) Why don't you include all the nintendo copyright and crc stuff in your rom header?
A2) Why don't you use pogoshell?

A3) I don't know anything about nintendo's copyright issues and i don't want to get into.

Q4) I like the new 432x288 zoomable pictures feature, why don't you allow bigger pictures to be stored?
A4) This is a frequently asked feature, but it's really hard to achieve because of the memory limitations. of the GBA. A 432x288 picture can be decompressed in the 256 Kbytes memory of the GBA and then zoomed or scrolled, while a bigger picture couldn't.

Q5) But the XYZ viewer DOES it!
A5) It's because XYZ uses uncompressed pictures. To scroll a picture this must be uncompressed somewhere in RAM or ROM: if the picture is present in ROM in an uncompressed form there's no problem in blitting a part of it in the GBA display so that you can achieve a scrolling feature, but if the picture is stored in a compressed form (like jpeg) you must unpack it in RAM before scrolling it. Since GBA ram is really limited I can't unpack pictures bigger than 432x288.

A6) It's GBA Jpeg Viewer, not GBA BMP Viewer!

A7) I'm working on a video encoder for GBA: the project includes a free limited GBA Jpeg Viewer like tool ("GBA movie player"? "GBA video player"? ... name suggestions are welcome) and a commercial library to bring video to other GBA game/applications. More to come soon, stay tuned. A8) Yes, because I've had a really good time coding it as you are having using it and I think I shouldn't be payed just because I've had some fun!
